August is also a month of new beginnings. It's a month where we are really starting to see the fruits of our labor start to come into fruition. The flowers for August are Poppy and Gladiolus. They bring forth the wisdom of beauty in grief and resilience.
Gladiolus are tall bold blooms with beautiful stripes and eye-catching clustering flower display. A warrior of a flower that stands proud in any fairy garden. These razor-shaped buds represent strength, longevity, and integrity.
Folklore and Old World Superstitions:
Named “sword lily” for their blade-like leaves—Romans believed wearing gladiolus charms brought protection in battle.
